Gearbox WPA ,Gearbox WPA are able to withstand high shock loads, low in noise level and maintenance-free but are less efficient than other gear types. Gearbox Worm can be used in right angle configuration. The gearbox Worm configuration allows the worm to turn the gear with ease; however, the gear cannot turn the worm. The prevention of the gear to move the worm can be used as a braking system. When the worm gearbox is not active, it is held in a locked position.

Gearbox WPA atau reducer WPA adalah suatu perangkat yang dapat menambah kekuatan beban / torsi dengan cara merubah kecepatan / speed dari dynamo motor. Gearbox atau reducer adalah kombinasi dari perangkat mekanik dan elektrik , dimana fungsi gearbox adalah mereduce / mengurangi kecepatan dynamo motor untuk mendapatkan beban / torsi yang lebih besar. 

Secara prinsip perbedaan dynamo motor ( elektrik motor ) dengan gearbox adalah : Dinamo motor memiliki kecepatan tinggi , namun beban rendah ( torsi kecil ) Gearbox atau reducer memiliki kecepatan rendah , namun mampu untuk beban berat ( torsi besar ) 

Hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam memilih / menggunakan gearbox adalah : 

1.Power gearbox ( dalam kw ataupun HP )  

2.Ratio atau perbandingan gearbox ( perbandingan )  

3.Output speed gearbox ( kecepatan akhir ) 

4.Output torsi gearbox (besaran torsi / Nm ) 

5.Mounting position gearbox ( arah penempatan / posisi ) 

6.Application gearbox ( aplikasi / kegunaan )

Dalam beberapa unit mesin memiliki sistem pemindah tenaga yaitu gearbox gear motor yang berfungsi untuk menyalurkan tenaga atau daya mesin ke salah satu bagian mesin lainnya, sehingga unit tersebut dapat bergerak menghasilkan sebuah pergerakan baik putaran maupun pergeseran. Gearbox merupakan suatu alat khusus yang diperlukan untuk menyesuaikan daya atau torsi (momen/daya) dari motor yang berputar, dan gearbox juga adalah alat pengubah daya dari motor yang berputar menjadi tenaga yang lebih besar 

Langkah Pemeriksaan Gearbox WPA 

Adapun perosedur yang dijalankan dalam pemeriksaan dari gearbox adalah sebagai berikut: 1.Lakukan pengukuran pada diameter out shaft dan input shaft gearbox dari keausan 

2.Lakukan pemeriksaan pada worm shaft gearbox , apakah ada keausan 

3.Pemeriksaan terhadap worm wheel gearbox , apakah ada kerusakan 

4.Periksa oil seal gearbox , bocor apa tidak 

5.Periksa bantalan dari setiap shaft gearbox , apakah sudah aus apa tidak 

6.Periksa apakah paking gearbox , masih baik apa tidak 

7.Periksa keadaan dari baut pengikat gearbox
